Recently, I started a blog. I've always been slightly skeptical of the whole idea of blogging, but I came across a really interesting idea, that I felt like I should try. Basically the concept is everyday for a year, you write out the good things in your day, or what God is doing in your life or a prayer request you have...basically just something positive. So often we get caught up in a world of constant complaints, a life full of negativity and just getting through each day. We let minutes, hours, days, weeks and months pass by because we are too busy counting down the days until what we believe to be better is coming. I am no different. I do the same things, I'm doing them and that's why I wanted to do this. It's what drew me to it, or better yet what the Lord drew me to. It's getting in the habit of being grateful, of not allowing days to turn into months and months into years while missing out on the beautiful creation that our Father has designed. It's about fellowhsip with our Father and being content in not only where we are, but whose we are. This blog is not for an audience, in fact i don't really expect any of you to read it, that isn't really the purpose of this post. The blog is for me to be accountable to myself, to make a professed habit something tangible. My intention with this post was never to get readers or views, (though it's open if you'd like to understand more about the concept or if you'd like prayer or something i'd love for you to comment on it so i could pray for you) my intention was to remind you to look for the Lord, to seek Him in the details and to take note of the beauty that He has given us. Beauty that I may add that is completely unnecessary, given to us as a gift for our enjoyment because our happiness brings Him joy. So I encourage you, whoever you are, make it a point each day to seek Heaven on Earth. To find the Father in the details and to praise Him for what He has presented us with. The Lord provides for us and gives good to us each day, we just have to allow ourselves to see that and overcome whatever negativity that presents us from truly seeing life for what it is. Because what it isn't is coincidence, it is nothing short of divine intervention.
